Seattle family photos

Discovery Park Winter Family Portraits by Victoria Lemos

Yay! I'm finally back! I took a much-needed break from booking sessions because I'm steadily preparing for graduate school. My goal has been to pursue a law degree at Seattle U Law. For a few months straight I was studying diligently for the law school admission test (LSAT) which took all of my time. I mean that literally too. I dropped everything to focus 200% on studying for this test that I really hope I did well on this second time around. The test was last weekend, so now I can finally breathe! I'm excited to jump back into my business & am ready for this Winter season & New Year.

I actually was really looking forward to the test, not only to get it over with but because I had a family session scheduled the day after. Anna had contacted me early last month and wanted to plan a small family session to gift her mom professional photos for Christmas. They were open to location suggestions & automatically I thought of Discovery Park. It's been on my list of locations for so long. I've only visited once & had never shot there before, so I thought this could be perfect. It was!

We met near the lighthouse midday on Sunday, and the session went so smoothly. The lighting, their neutral outfit coordination, their sweet, laughter-filled family dynamic. It was so easy to work with them & the shots prove it to be true! I immediately fell in love with the images & cannot wait for them to see the results.

Thank you, Anna & family. The shoot served as the perfect start to the Winter season & I look forward to working with more lovely families into the New Year.

PNW Trail Couple Portraits by Victoria Lemos

I'm so excited to share images from this couple session I shot last week. My little cousin Raul lives in Pasco, WA, about four hours away. He decided to drive down to Seattle with his girlfriend Genesis for his birthday one weekend and wanted to meet up with my sister and I. We don't get to see eachother often, so it was nice to catch up. I brought my camera along to take a few photos of them nearby because couple sessions are my favorite, I just haven't booked as many as I'd like! After eating breakfast in Bothell, we drove two minutes away to a playground park, walked down a hidden trail and found the most beautiful willow tree and greenery. The photos turned out even better than I expected!

If you or anyone you know are looking for fun, adventurous, romantic couple photos, please don't hesitate to contact me so we can discuss potential locations & ideas! Capturing love is beautiful, priceless, and so very worth it.

Green Lake Park Maternity Portraits by Victoria Lemos

My favorite types of shoots are the ones that go smoothly, feel natural, and end too soon. This shoot was just so good. Larissa & Jeremy wanted to capture precious moments before their little one comes into the world in just two weeks! We discussed a few park options and decided to meet at Green Lake one weekday morning. The park was quite empty when we got there and the amount of sunlight was perfect. We met up at one of several parking lots and just took a stroll on the trail surrounding the lake, stopping every so often when we came across something beautiful.

I'm so happy with the results; the images came out better than I could have expected. I'm even more happy though that Larissa was overwhelmingly satisfied with the final images. Hearing positive feedback from each client of mine is the ultimate goal & it always feels so good whenever I achieve that goal. I thank God for allowing me the opportunity to use the talent He has given me for such goodness & joy. Nothing compares!

Juanita Bay Park Family Portraits by Victoria Lemos

It's been about a month since I last blogged but I'm so excited to share what I've been up to! Last week I shot two families at Juanita Bay Park during golden hour. I don't shoot enough families (high school/college grads have been keeping me busy the most lately), so I was looking forward to this session and what I could capture.

We met up at one of my favorite parks - Juanita Bay. It was surprisingly empty, and the lighting was perfect. The park is filled with green everywhere you look and even has a pretty boardwalk trail that's most popular with clients. I took a variety of shots for both families, and everyone cooperated as best they could (big families can get chaotic) which resulted in priceless captured memories.
