Portrait Session: Capturing Seattle / by Victoria Lemos

Yesterday I had a portrait session with Sarita who found me on Instagram awhile back. She's from California but had contacted me back then complimenting my work and letting me know she would love to shoot next time she visited Seattle. A few weeks ago she contacted me again with the news that she would be in town so she wanted to schedule the session! I was so happy we had the opportunity to do so.

Sarita wasn't sure about the location but she did know she wanted to capture the pure essence of Seattle. With that in mind we met up at Pike Place Market and took a city stroll on a hot summer afternoon. Here are the results!

The most recognizable neon sign in Seattle.

Street vibes against a cool brick wall. I love how the yellow chair compliments her t-shirt design.

I love the lighting in this shot. How it seems to be coming in from the right side of the frame where all the cars were zipping past us. Her outfit was so on point & perfect for these city shots!

A lil' bit artsy. I wanted to focus in on the freeway and city. You can even spot Mt. Rainer way in the distance!

My final favorite from our shoot. So happy with how they all turned out! Shooting in Seattle never disappoints.
